Children's Therapy & Assessment
I have very limited availability for in-person therapy and assessment.
I provide an assessment of children's speech, language, and communication needs in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.
My therapy approach is focused on empowering parents by working together to give you the right tools, information & support.

Initial Assessment with no report: £90
An appointment of up to 1 hour at your home. The purpose is to build an overview of your child's skills so that we know what we need to do next to support them. The appointment will be a combination of observation, play-based activities, planned structured activities, and discussion of parental concerns.
Advice and feed back will be given verbally on the day.
You can choose to have a report following the session.I will provide a written summary report of key points and recommended next steps, for an additional fee of £45.
An Initial assessment is required before I can provide any therapy.
Therapy: £ 75 per session
Therapy sessions, usually carried out at your home, include a combination of working directly with your child and supporting you through parent coaching.
Children learn and develop communication and language best through play and engaging with what they love, so activities are play based and follow your child's interests.
The fee for therapy sessions also includes the time spent outside of sessions, carrying out clinical admin and preparing resources.
Sessions are up to 45 minutes.
The length and frequency of therapy sessions are delivered based upon on the needs of the child and family.
Formal assessment and detailed report: POA
If you wish to have a more comprehensive assessment and detailed report.
Please get in touch, I will provide a bespoke plan based upon your child`s needs.
Other services: £ 60/h
Reports, programmes & communication with key people via letter, phone and email.
Extra resources can be prepared and made for you to use at home with your child.
Travel & Mileage
Mileage Fee: 50p per mile, from base, the charge covers mileage. Charged one way only
Travel time: No fee charged for the first 20 minutes of travel, a small charge may be applied over 20 minutes to cover travel time. Please enquire. Charged one way only.
Travel time and mileage is calculated using the AA route planner (www.theaa.com)
