A warm welcome to  my little corner of the internet.

I am a Speech & language therapist by professional title but at my heart I am a gardening loving, nature inspired devotee to children's communication & wellbeing..

 

The thing that lights me up is early intervention & support and knowing how important early support is for you & your child.

 

I specialise in working with children who dont have many words in early years.  I also work with primary aged children children who have speech & language difficulties.

  

I recognise and value what you as a parent bring to the table (a bucket load of knowing what's important and meaningful to you and your child) and that you're one of the most important parts of therapy.

 

I also see how hard your already working and the added mental load and worry about your child`s communication. What you need is access to the right information and support, to be listened to and valued as the person who knows your child best.

 

That's why I focus my therapy on listening to you and helping you to support your child.

  

I am here to help you better understand your child's communication development, to help you feel confident adding strategies, and practical activities, into the things you already do in your daily routines, to support your child's communication.

 

At the heart of everything I do, is the belief that the primary goal of Speech and Language therapy should be to support your child`s self-confidence, wellbeing and connection to the things that they love, through fulfilling and joyful

communication. And help you feel empowered and more informed supporting their communication

I am an experienced paediatric Speech & Language therapist (SLT), with over 17 years of experience supporting children's development in the early years, and 8 years  experience as a children`s SLT.

​

 I specialise  in early intervention, early childhood development, and supporting children who are non-speaking, and who may or may not have a diagnosis of autism.

I work as an independent therapist, alongside my role within the NHS.
